A spacious kangaroo-frequented campground in Deep Creek Conservation Park with fire pits and a picnic shelter - quieter than Stringybark, with no showers.

A quieter Deep Creek option

Trig Campground sits a few kilometres east of Stringybark in Deep Creek Conservation Park, in a more open setting with bigger sites spread across a grassy clearing. It has fewer facilities than Stringybark - no showers, basic toilets - but the trade-off is a quieter, less crowded experience.

Wildlife

Kangaroos are part of the deal here - mobs of western greys move through the campground at dawn and dusk and are unbothered by tents. Possums and brushtailed bettongs are also common.

Practical

Bookings required through Parks SA. Bring water, fuel for the fire pit if you want a fire, and camping gear. National park entry fee applies in addition to the camping fee.
