Strathalbyn's oldest hotel - a heritage 1840s pub on the corner of Rankine Street with a beer garden running down to the River Angas and a country bistro.

Strathalbyn's oldest pub

The Terminus Hotel has stood on Rankine Street in Strathalbyn since the 1840s, making it the oldest licensed hotel in town - older than the Victoria, the Robin Hood and the rest of the Strathalbyn pub strip. The two-storey bluestone facade is unchanged from the 19th century.

Beer garden on the river

The back of the property opens onto a deep beer garden that runs right down to the bank of the River Angas, with shaded tables under old gums - one of the better outdoor pub spots on the Fleurieu in summer.

Bistro

The in-house bistro is open Thursday through Sunday with a country pub menu - parmas, schnitzels, steaks, daily specials. Counter meals at the bar most other days.
