Morgan Beach
A small 800m sandy cove beneath 50-metre bluffs near Cape Jervis, popular for fishing, swimming and sunset views past the Starfish Hill Wind Farm.
A small bluff-backed cove
Morgan Beach is a small 800-metre stretch of sand sitting beneath 50-metre bluffs on the south-western coast near Cape Jervis. Access is via a steep dirt track from the clifftop carpark, and the descent itself is part of the experience.
What it's good for
Fishing off the rocks at either end, swimming on calm days (the cove is sheltered from the prevailing south-westerlies by the western headland), and a quiet hour on the sand. The Starfish Hill Wind Farm sits on the bluffs above the southern headland and the turbines turning against the sunset are the signature view.
Practical
Free, no facilities, parking at the top of the cliffs. Take care on the descent.
