The Gallery at McLaren Vale Visitor Centre

A contemporary art gallery built into the rammed-earth Visitor Centre at the entrance to McLaren Vale, with rotating exhibitions and sweeping views over the vineyards.

At the gateway to McLaren Vale

The Gallery sits inside the McLaren Vale & Fleurieu Coast Visitor Information Centre on the northern entrance to McLaren Vale. The building itself is one of the most distinctive on the Peninsula - architecturally designed in rammed earth and recycled timber, with floor-to-ceiling glass framing the surrounding gardens and the vineyards beyond.

What's on show

The Gallery runs a continuously-changing programme of contemporary art exhibitions, almost always featuring local Fleurieu artists. There is no admission charge - the space sits inside the Visitor Centre's main building, alongside the local produce shop and the visitor information desk.

A natural first stop

This is the logical first stop on a McLaren Vale day - pick up maps, browse the gallery, and get oriented before heading out to the cellar doors.
