An 1865 historic country pub in the pretty Finniss River valley - originally Ashbourne's post office and general store, now a refurbished gastropub with live music.

Ashbourne's pub

The Greenman Inn is the historic country pub in the small village of Ashbourne, in the Finniss River valley between Strathalbyn and Mount Compass. The building dates to 1865 and was originally the village post office and general store before becoming a licensed inn.

After two refurbishments

The pub was refurbished in 2018 and again in 2024, and now operates as a country gastropub with a locally-sourced pub menu, regular live music in the beer garden, and a quiet atmospheric front bar. One of the better country pub destinations on the eastern Fleurieu.
