Coriole Vineyards

Italian varietals & estate lunch

Family-owned estate famous for pioneering Sangiovese in Australia, Fiano, Nebbiolo and a celebrated garden restaurant overlooking the McLaren Vale hills.

Italian varietals in the Vale

Coriole Vineyards was established in 1967 by the Lloyd family around an 1860s homestead on Chaffeys Road. Coriole is credited with planting the first commercial Sangiovese in Australia in 1985 and has since been a leader in Italian and Mediterranean varietals including Fiano, Nebbiolo, Barbera and Prosecco alongside McLaren Vale Shiraz.

The cellar door sits in a heritage stone building overlooking the garden, vineyards and the rolling McLaren Vale hills. The Coriole restaurant serves produce-driven long lunches from Thursday to Monday. The estate also produces olive oil and estate-grown Fiore Sardo cheese in the Italian tradition.
